Research Lab on Public Policy Making in Health Care

We combine technical knowledge (data science) with sociological and economic knowledge to create better solutions for health care. We specialise in the analysis and visualisation of large data sets, supporting public institutions such as the Ministry of Health to build effective health policies. We aim to create the conditions for innovative and interdisciplinary research, based on the latest data and methods, in international collaboration.
What we do
- We analyse and visualise health data: we use large datasets to better understand and build health policies. We support public institutions that are under-resourced in this area.
- We research health solutions: we conduct research on digital tools in healthcare, developed by both public and commercial entities.
- We collaborate internationally: we bring together researchers in health policy, health care and long-term care, collaborating with international research groups such as Survey on Health, Ageing and Retirement, European Health Policy Group and Cost Action.
- We carry out research projects: we have extensive experience in conducting research as part of projects such as “The impact of ageing on the budgetary situation in Poland” (NCN project) and “Long-term care in Poland – analysis of demand and supply of inpatient forms of care” (IDUB New Ideas).
