Commissioned by the Strategy and Analysis Office at the City of Warsaw, we prepared a study on short-term rentals in Warsaw in 2024. Its goal was to identify the scale and specifics of the short-term rental market in Warsaw, particularly in the context of the real estate market. The research methodology was based on empirical analysis of listing data.
Our study made a significant contribution to the literature: we estimated the number of apartments available for short-term rentals in Warsaw. This required harmonizing various databases and identifying apartments listed simultaneously on various platforms. The report presents a detailed methodology, based on spatial analysis and image analysis, among other things. The report also presents an estimate of revenue from short-term rentals and a comparison of this with revenue from long-term rentals.
