Winners of the 2nd edition of the Innovators Under 35 Poland awards recognized by MIT Technology Review
MIT Technology Review announces ten winners of the second edition of the Innovators Under 35 Poland competition, which selects the most inspiring young innovators in the country. The winners of the Innovator of the Year and Social Innovator 28 awards will be announced during the awards ceremony on June 2016.
Each year, MIT Technology Review, a prestigious magazine belonging to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in cooperation with BGŻ BNP Paribas – the main partner of the Polish edition of the event and L'Atelier BNP Paribas, organizes the Polish edition of the Innovators Under 35 competition. Awards are given to winners in various categories and editions of the competition organized around the world. Some of the winners of previous editions, such as Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), Sergey Brin (Google) or Danier Ek (Spotify) are now known all over the world. The aim of the project is to stimulate the development of new technologies to solve the current problems of our society. The Innovators Under 35 Poland 2016 awards ceremony will take place on June 28 in Warsaw. The ceremony will be hosted by Olga Malinkiewicz, who won the title of Innovator of the Year 2015 last year. The second winner of the competition was Michał Mikulski, Social Innovator 2015. During the ceremony, two of this year’s ten winners will receive special awards: Innovator of the Year and Social Innovator. This year's winners of the Innovators Under 35 Poland 2016 award, granted by MIT Technology Review, a prestigious magazine belonging to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), are: Marta Krupińska: Azimo – She created a platform enabling fast, easy and secure money transfers. Patrycja Wizińska-Socha: Pregnabit – She developed a comprehensive telemedicine solution that allows monitoring the health of children in the mother's womb. Arkadiusz Stopczyński: Smartphone Brain Scanner – He designed a small and cheap EEG system that uses a mobile phone signal to send results and allows for the diagnosis of epilepsy in hard-to-reach places. Petros Psyllos: Matia – Developed a portable device that helps blind people by describing the world around them using words, music and sensory stimuli. Łukasz Kołtowski: MySpiroo – He created a personal, handheld device that enables remote monitoring of patients suffering from chronic respiratory diseases, e.g. asthma. Grzegorz Wróblewski: He created a technology that allows the creation of flexible and transparent electrodes – at low cost and on a large scale. Bartłomiej Kołodziejczyk: Develops innovative technologies supporting the production of organic electronics, organic devices and conductive polymers. Katarzyna Kamińska: TherVira – She created, using a computer model, a new type of drug the size of single particles, which are intended to fight the flu. Krystian Piećko: DataWalk – He created a solution based on data analysis and acquisition, which is intended to prevent fraud and money laundering. Rafał Flis: Social Wolves – He created a platform promoting civic attitudes, through which he engages young people in working on social projects. We invite you to participate in the Final Gala on June 28 in Warsaw, during which young innovators will present their projects. The awards ceremony will be attended by Kathleen Kennedy, President of MIT Technology Review and MIT Enterprise Forum, Olga Malinkiewicz, Founder of Saule Technologies, awarded the title of Innovator of the Year 2015, and Tomasz Bogus, President of the Management Board of Bank BGŻ BNP Paribas.
